The worst experience at my workplace

It was a normal Sunday at
job. I work at Gamebox which is an amusement park in Parque Arboleda shopping
mall. There I use to be monitoring the bumper cars for the kids so I was doing
that, but something out of this world started to happen: I felt the floor
shaking hard, and suddenly people started to panic. It was an earthquake!. All I could do was tell a
girl and her mother to go out of the park and start to evacuate while my boss
and my workmates were doing the same. We had enough time to get out of there,
get back because we forget to turn the energy off and get out again, and
surprisingly it was still trembling. Oh god! The floor was moving forward and
backward and all the people in the shopping mall were so scared.
At last the earthquake
stopped, yet all the Gamebox workers including me evacuated and get out of the
shopping mall, and I realized we had been the only people out of Parque
Arboleda. The rest of the people had got over it. At that moment I was ashamed.
At the end, we came back to the park; turn the machines on and return to our
normal activities. As the telephone lines were not working well a few minutes
later I called my mom to know how my family was and to let them know I was
fine. That Sunday was full of fear that might produce aftershocks, but it
didn't happen at all. I just have an experience more to remember.
